Media mogul of Nigerian news African Independent Television recently signed a partnership with ICT Company Infostrategy Technology Nigeria on their new media transformation project. With the steady rise in the adoption of social media as a tool for engagement, AIT isn’t about to be left out, and are poised to leverage this platform optimally. The signing which took place on the 19th of July 2013 at the DAAR Communications office Asokoro Abuja had in attendance-: Mrs Toyin Dokpesi (MD AIT Nigeria), Mr Tomi Araromi (MD Infostrategy technology), Mr Layi Funsho (Director, Web and Mobile Technology, Infostrategy Technology), Mr Igonor Lawrence (Head Programmes Network) and Miss Namure Edoimioya (AIT AGM Network Operations). Infostrategy Technology has been in the ICT industry for 13 years and has worked with an array of clients in the public and private sector. The company will be responsible for building and managing the entire new media structure and services from the bottom up. This will include AIT’s website, video streaming of the network news, social media integration and the monitoring of AIT’s online traffic. AIT intends to commence with live streaming of the 12pm, 4pm and 8pm news segment, while other news programmes like Kakaaki, Focus Nigeria, Matters Arising and Frontline will be accessible on the online TV channel archive so viewers can catch up on missed episodes. The Network news would also be transcribed and made available in text format for visitors who can’t access the video option. Infostrategy Technology is poised to bring new life to the AIT news network and their partnership proves that the news network is serious about becoming the leader in the Nigerian media space.
